Déjà, évite les double (voir triple posts dans ton cas). Et relis toi, là ta phrase ne veut pas dire grand chose de plus.

Et ton anglais, c'est toujours pas ça : How fast is your XP ?

The one for the street runs 65km/h but the one for Mobcross is not finished yet. Too much to do and to little time.

Thanks B-link, that's what we think about it too.
We still have an issue with the waterpump, it's 12Volt DC and the magneto/dynamo delivers AC current only. A battery and some electronics will cure it, I guess.

Good luck for the electric problem, I hate that ^^.

About your exhaust, no problem with the solder ? I say that because of the type of solder. You should use a MIG/MAG, no ?

(bad english, I know...)

Yeah, I need some help with this electric problem too but we will fix it, I'm sure,
About the exhaust, I use a MIG/MAG welder for it and no it doesn't look that pretty. On the inside however it's quit smooth with only a few places with some welding marterial buildup.

The electric problem has been fixed this evening so tomorrow I can make the wiring.
Next weekend we will start the test drives to see how the bike will do and what gearing we will use and ofcourse make a little video.
The weekend after that we will compete in our first mobcross.

The cilinder we use is a HEBO Manston 70cc cilinder of a Minarelli Horizontal. We used a plate of 15mm thickness as wide as the HEBO cilinder to make the transferports big enough. This means we also had to go to a 90mm connecting rod so the piston will go all the way up in the cilinder.
The inlet port is also a little small for the carb we used. To make it big enough we filled the holes at the underside of the inletport with liquid metal. The inletport is as wide as standard but instead of 11mm high it now is 21mm high. Ofcourse we also made the third transferport.
The original membrane is also very tiny, we went to a Stage6 V-Force 8-valve membrane for which I welded a housing from plate-steel.
The carburettor is a Tillotson HL-380B like they also use in Karting but then a little bigger. Mr. Green
Ofcourse we put in all new bearings and seals.
To be able to use some different sprockets we actually could buy, we welded-up the standard sprocket-axel and altered the shape to accept Kreidler sprockets.
The original engine has watercooling but relies on the Thermosyphon system to transfer the heated water to the radiator. This is not enough for this cilinder so we had to go to a forced pump system. We use a Bosch waterpump found in several cars. The pump is powered by the standard ingnition/dynamo but with a AC/DC converter.
Finally the exhaust is a Yasuni C20 Replica. We measured one of those and made our own in the same shape as the original exhaust.
Quite some work but I believe worth it.

We did some testing last sunday and we sure are happy with most of the results.
The engine has some serious power and the bike seems fast enough.
After several testruns I had to check the cranckshaft and what I was affraid of had happened, the cranckshaft
couldn't hold the power and got twisted, it's wobbeling around. So we headed back home and started thinking how to make a better cranckshaft.
This week we will begin with it but probably it won't be finished before next sunday, when we should compete in our first race.
Ofcourse it's better to start racing the bike only when it's finished and up to the task. We will enter the race with our Puch Maxi.

RIP Xp crankshaft Laughing. It was sure that he'll brake, you have too much power for this poor machine ^^.

Good luck to adapt a new one.

Thanks B-Link, but I'm sure the new one will hold. We're getting help from someone who is making racingcrankshafts for Moto GP 125 and 250cc machines for 25 years now.

Sometimes you just need some help!

btw, I'll post a video later tonight, first I'll disassemble the engine to get the crankshaft out.

Okay, let's try to upload a video, it's made with a cellphone so don't expect an outstanding quality. Also , part of the exhaust gasket was blown out so the exhaustsound was too loud for the camera.

I hope you'll enjoy it! .........................We did.

Greetings 2Stroke.

Wednesday evening we had some help with our crankshaft and friday it was pressed together so we have a new one te try.
Saturday we put the engine together and on sunday we will have our first race. We keep our fingers crossed but I think that this crank will hold.
We made the bronze rings different, they have a much bigger inner diameter so only the connectingrod will ride against it. Therefore we didn't have to remove any material from the crankshaft around the bigend pin so it will be much stronger.

I'll let you know how it went.

Yeah thanks, we thought it was a nice job untill the end off the free practice......................the crankshaft twisted again. The left crankwall didn't hold the crankpin enough so the crankshaft got twisted again. The crank got twisted so much that it wobbled through the crankcase, hitting the right crankcase-wall, overheating the bearing which melted the plastic bearingcage. We're lucky that no more damage was done.
It sems for now that we only have to replace the bearings.
Now we're going for some serious modifications. The crankpin will be laserwelded to make it larger in diameter after that it will be grinded (on a special high tolerance grinding machine) to a better oversize. After that, the ends, where they will be inserted in the crankwalls will be sandblasted for maximum grip!
The crank will also be balanced for the heavier connectingrod and piston we use (47,6mm instead of the usual 40mm). Probably by adding some Mallory-metal inserts. Our first crank didn't had that problem or at least not in this size because we machined more material from the area around the crankpin.
It's gonna take some 14 days (that guy has some more work, you know),but then we should have a very strong and balanced crank.

At least we hope, we'll let you know, don't worrie.
