Yes, the cilinder is originally for a Minarelli horizontal.
We screwed aluminium bolts in the two aft holes for the Peugeot cilinderbolts and then sawed them off at the cilinderbase. Then we made an aluminium adaptorplate for the HEBO cilinder and used the two holes at the front to bolt it to the engine. Then with the two aft holes as a guide, we drilled the new holes for the aft two cilinderbolts. Tapped M7 threath in it and screwed in the new cilinderbolts. Yes, you can see some part of the threath on the Vario and ignition side of the engine but that's only a small part. You can also see how wide the plate had to be, to make room for the channels feeding the cilinderports.
Because we used the standard HEBO piston for the Manston cilinder, we had to use a longer connecting rod.
As you can read in my previous posts, we still have a problem with the crankshaft, but I believe we solved it now with the help of a crankshaftspecialist.
Let's hope it anyways.

Yes the ignition and coils for the lighting are the standard XP parts except for the CDI-module, that's a Malossi part.
The coils for the lighting feed the electric waterpump through a rectifier.

Well, we're at it again!
The cranckshaft is back again and better then ever. My friend had to use an enormous copper hammer (15x5x5cm) to straighten the crank. He also balanced the crank so it won't vibrate itself to pieces.



In this picture you can see the holes he had to drill and the Wolfram inserts to balance the crank.

Well guys, we did test the new crankshaft today. Helas we had two vario belts destroyed and that probably had some effect on the crank. The vario side of the crankshaft looks like it is bend a little, the ignition side runs true. I have to take it out to see what is wrong.
That probably won't happen this week because we have a race next weekend. This week we also put togheter a second mobcross XP that will be motorized by the engine of my son's daily XP.
This second mobcross XP is build much lighter and with the standard XP suspension. I will make another topic about that bike later.

Does anyone know if the crank of an XP will bend if the variobelt brakes? Please let me know.
We will try to get a Malossi belt for the 103 Peugeot, seems that they fit aswell on the XP.
Are they a lot stronger?

About 103 Peugeot belt, it will be too long. But, yes, Malossi Belt is stronger than origin.

About the crank, I don't know. It could, probably.

B-Link, on the www.malossionline.com site, there are two belts,
one for the 103 rcx, spx and one for the 104/105 and the XP's.
this is what I could find:


Largeur Épaisseur Mesure extérieure Angle Reference Modele

13mm___8mm_______870mm______38°__61 7219___SPECIAL BELT 103 50 SP [104 - 105] XP 50 LC /avenger/Hollywood


15mm___8mm_______747mm______30°__ 61 7220___SPECIAL BELT 103 spx rcx.



So it seems that we can use the same belt as used on the 104 and 105 and it is longer and thinner as
the one used for the 103 spx and rcx.



Now I have to find out if the 61 7219 belt is for sale in Holland.

Well, it normally isn't but they can order it and it will take like 5 WEEKS !!

Anyone tried this belt already??
